Wheels Mfg stopped production, but I know Jeremy (Alchemy) wants to resume production elsewhere. He is still supporting the hubs if needed (parts etc).
I have a couple 24/28 hubsets here if you are interested.

I contacted Wheels Mfg. about a year ago, when the articles came out, about their work on the hubs, and asked if they had an 11-speed freehubs available for first-gen hubs. They said they did not. Do you know if Alchemy ever produced one? I've got a 10-speed hub sitting in my parts drawer, that would work really well for my spare bike, if I could get an 11-speed freehub.

He did at one point, but no more. I think he might still have Campagnolo for the original hub (ORC) and you could run a Campy 11 cassette.
For the original design there is a set of tools required for the rear.
