Reigning hill climb champion Dan Evans has been riding the new wheels already and had this to say about them. Obviously, it’s all very positive…
"First ride on the new tubulars last night and they’re seriously impressive. Obviously they’re lovely and light but the main thing that comes across is how stiff and solid they feel, nothing like other climbing wheelsets on the market that’s for sure.”

Plus, Hunts are usually 10% overweight.
FSE just launched their own EVO 23T climbing wheels. A good deal lighter but also a whole lot more expensive as they're using Extralite hubs. Rims are obviously Far Sports FSL25-TM-23.

Same rims I'm building my disc brake wheels with FWIW. Actual rim weights in my case were 253 and 254 grams. FSE is claiming 220 +/- 30 grams making me think they are just grabbing the lightest rims Farsports make which happen to fall just under 250 grams and thus just inside of their generous weight tolerance. But I hope I'm wrong given what they are charging.MayhemSWE wrote: ↑Sat Sep 08, 2018 6:46 amFSE just launched their own EVO 23T climbing wheels. Wheels weighed. 38mm deep by narrow v section tubular. The tyres are 275g each I think and the cassette is SRAM red. The tubs are glued on with around 20g of glue per rim but this is an estimate.
My rational is these are for hill climb events and therefore narrow 21 or 22mm tyres are fitted. So wider rims are not needed for these.
Front 757g rear 1001g. So with different tubs I could knock off 200g.

Thanks
Mine were 266g each: [Edit: I don't think these are same as FSE]

I paid $320 including shipping to the US and Paypal fees. My rims are likely lighter than average as I did not have them add the braking surface (disc bike). I've commented elsewhere that when I first mentioned using them with disc hubs they told me they needed to add 30 grams of reinforcement to the rims. I questioned them on that and they agreed to sell me the standard rim minus the rim brake track.leicaman wrote: ↑Thu Sep 20, 2018 4:35 amHow much are the rims, if you don’t mind me asking ?joejack951 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 08, 2018 1:58 pmSame rims I'm building my disc brake wheels with FWIW.
