Hello,

where do I find the tiny grub screw (No. 6)? Do I have to remove the axle?

I expected it to be in the adjusting ring?

B.

Edit: the manual seem to refer to this model:

But it was this one:

Maybe you can just adjust it without tools - rotate with fingers

Thanks, yes it seems to be that easy. I will try again in the afternoon.

There has been an update of the preload ring and it can be replaced afterwards: https://r2-bike.com/CARBON-TI-Ersatztei ... Ring-X-Hub

Question is, if this is necessary as there have been problems with the old version and it will loosen again elsewise?

The older prepload ring is fine. It's not a hub that needs constant adjustment.

The tension on the axles was quite low. I did 8 Nm (8-10 is recommended) and the play is gone. The bearings spin as easy as before.

It was the first adjustment after 1,000km or so - I hope it really stays now as it is. ;)

The 1,5mm hex key is needed from now on - the finger adjustment is gone, if you buy new. But you really need to push very hard with your fingers on the old one.
