I've been using an Extralite SLX hub on my rear wheel for 7 years now (ENVE 45 tubular Rim), but it's finally giving up the ghost, so need a new one.

Looking for the collective WW knowledge here to recommend me a new hub.

Replace like for like with Extralite or something else?

Cost is not a factor, but weight, serviceability and reliability is.

I'm 140lbs (63kg) and the rim is 24h.

Thanks, Thanos.

What's wrong with your old hub?

There is a lot of lateral play at the rim, but to be honest, I'd like a new toy...

extralite or carbon Ti for something a bit more robust but light.

I had lateral play too and I fixed it with loctite 641 on inner and outer race of the inner wheel bearing.

When the bearing has slightly chewed up the axle the microtuner won't have any effect. Simply fill the gap and keep riding.
