Sapim Super cx Ray spoke - tension table
Moderator: robbosmans
Hello
I would like to measure Sapim CX-Ray spoke tensions with my DT Swiss Tensio 2 tensiometer.
Do you have similar chart for the Sapim CX-Ray 2.0 - (0.9x2.2) - 2.0 mm spoke also measuring with DT Tensio 2 ?
I mean this version: https://www.sapim.be/spokes/aero/cx-ray
Thank you so much.
Regards,
Karl

I was also looking into this calibration chart http://www.wheelpro.co.uk/support/tensi ... _chart.pdf but I think the deflection values for CX-Ray are not correct. CX-Ray and Aerolite are very similar. My DT Tensio 2 shows roughly 5-7% higher deflection values for CX-Ray than the Aerolite. But comparing this Sapim chart's CX-Ray values with the DT Swiss own chart at Aerolite values there is 25% difference. That is too much, because their dimensions are almost the same, for this reason this Sapim chart is not correct.NickJHP wrote: ↑Mon Jul 09, 2018 11:32 pmI doubt you will find a calibration chart for those spokes with the Tensio meter. There's a chart for the Tensio meter with other Sapim spokes at http://www.wheelpro.co.uk/support/tensi ... _chart.pdf, though it does have a transcription error in it - the readings in the columns for G13 Strong and Laser spokes are exactly the same. I've used that chart to build a wheel using normal CX-Ray spokes and a Tensio meter, and it worked well for that.
What you need is something like this, to create your own calibration chart of deflection vs spoke tension:
