My shop finally has these wheels in stock but I'm in doubt which one to choose.
If I am correct the differences are:
- DT 350 vs DT240 (but I don't find huge difference between them then the weight)
- Steel bearing vs ceramic speed bearings
- Round spokes vs aero spokes (not so important for me, but I know from the past that round spokes may make the wheel a little bit stiffer)
- 1600 euros vs 2400 euros

So is the CLX 800 euro's more worth for in my eyes just the ceramic speed bearing?

Not to me. I've seen conflicting reports on ceramic bearings. A few sources report their performance degrades rapidly.

It isn't really worth the extra cost for the aero spokes and ceramic bearings, certainly having run wheels with ceramic and steel bearings I haven't really notice any real world difference to justify the extra cost.

So I'm currently facing the choice between new CL50 or slightly used CLX64 with a chip in the rim. To get the CLX64 I would have to sell the CL50, which would mean I'd have to put pay around $350 for the upgrade. Worth the money and risk?

I’ve been toying with the same purchase. Will ceramic bearings degrade in Summer use?
