...26.4mm at the brake track and 26.5/27/28mm max. width (303/404/808) - not very torodial anymore. ;)

I am curious for the first test - even 23mm tires on 19mm inner width are quite wide for these... :noidea:

The standard Firecrest rims got even slimmer (17.25mm inside before) and have the same width at brake track and rim:

303 17mm inside 26.4mm outside / 404 16.5mm inside 25mm outside / 808 17mm inside 26mm outside

Looks as if they wanted bigger differences between the both lines... :unbelievable:

Zipp hasn't introduced hybrid-toroidal cross-section wheel for almost a decade. Their "U" shape was introduced with the first "Firecrest" labeled wheels and the relative width of the inside edge has varied slightly since then.

Hybrid-torodial with straight brake tracks and wide, round rim is gone...

... but the rims have been torodial (angled brake track that is narrower than the rim and wide round "nose") since then, or not? :noidea:

The new Firecrest rims should be the first with a U-Shape.

Edit: But maybe the measurements are wrong, the FC rim still looks angled to me:

And SwissSide/DT Swiss rims still have a tiny bit hybrid-torodial:

Also important to mention that the NSW series now heavier than the firecrest line which is a pretty big letdown for me. :(
I'd never mess with tubeless tires on the road and adding 75g weight to the rims is a bad decision by zipp.

Yeah. 20g heavier than the current Firecrest, as much as 105g heavier (808) than the first Firecrest CC line

It's kinda annoying - I'm lightweight, I have technical skill and I don't really need super-duper fancy reinforced resins in my carbon wheels, even in the mountains. But because of a bunch of ham-fisted mamils melting rims on their one gran fondo expedition of the year, all the wheels I can buy keep getting heavier and heavier. Life is so unfair....

The 404 FC was 1 watt better than the 454 NSW - this had to be changed. But instead of making the expensive wheel faster, they made the cheaper wheel slower. :( These are wheels for uninformed, rich people now. ;)

But Light Bicycle 21C, 28x46mm rims with Carbon-Ti hubs and CX-Ray spokes are 1.340g and much cheaper... And for the end of the year they also announced a flyweight version. Your choice. ;) I'd love them to have the Zipp brake track though, that is really better in the wet.

Beaver, seriously. These rims are not "19c". They are 19mm internal. the "c" is totally meaningless.

Sorry, that's the european ETRTO specification. If it's not common here, I can leave it away. ;)

I asked: the 30mm outside/23mm inside rim will come first, the lighter rim brake rims maybe towards the end of the year. How much lighter they didn't tell. But 20g lighter would already be very good. Roval 30mmx50mm/21mm inside rims are around 440g (1.415 wheelset minus 320g for custom DT 240S hubs minus 210g for spokes and nipples). Enve's lower 3.4 SES are around 460g. Bontrager claims 430g for their 27x47mm XXX rims.
