They're designed to work with the Blue BXP pads which are pretty affordable.

If you use other brake pads on these wheels you technically void the warranty
The Swissstop Flash Pro BXP pads aren't too expensive, and they're the best brake pads I've ever used, especially in the wet.
I've had to warranty these wheels personally and the service centre asked to see the brake pads to prove you've actually been using them.
Just use the recommended pads.

My wheelset which I purchased from starbike.com (cheapest) came with the the recommended pad (Swissstop Flash Pro BXP ). Check with the vendor, you might not need to purchase the pads.
