And they were standard clinchers too - not the tubeless version. I needed tire levers to put the tire on the rim and punctured a latex tube in the process.jgpallero wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 9:05 amMmm, interesting. GP5000s were *extremely* difficult to mount by hand which is bloody annoying. Building onto a new Colnago V3rs. I'll provide a ride report soon.

Did you use the recessed bit in the middle of the rim bed to help install the tyres?zappafile123 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 9:59 amAnd they were standard clinchers too - not the tubeless version. I found conti GP 5000 clinchers (and other tyres) very difficult to mount on my WTO33s at first because these wheels were the first 2-way fit ones I'd had, with that dip in the middle of the rim bed.
The trick is to squeeze the two beads of the clincher together all of the way around the wheel so that they are sitting down inside that middle recessed channel. Then it should be fairly easy to mount the tyres. You can do the same thing when removing the tyre if you get all/most of the air out first.
Speed 55 DB mounting GP5000 25 and 28mm clinchers just fine, just a little push from a lever.

I'd guess that within two years time all of their products will have transitioned to the new standard.ultimobici wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 8:16 amDoubtful as I believe the drive ring is a slightly different diameter.gwerziou wrote:I would assume that all Campy wheels will run N3W in the future. Thanks for the tip. I think the bead of the tire that was already on the rim was somewhere around the inner third of the rim closest to the side on which the other bead was to be mounted... if that makes sense.neeb wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 2:20 pmDid you use the recessed bit in the middle of the rim bed to help install the tyres?zappafile123 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 9:59 amAnd they were standard clinchers too - not the tubeless version. I've mounted plenty of tires on my WTO 60 wheels without any issues. Like many have said, you need to make sure the tire is pinched/squeezed onto the middle part of the rim when installing. I can mount all my tires without levers, and I've mounted the following tires: GP5000, Turbo Cottons, Sworks Turbo, PZero Velo.zappafile123 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 9:59 amAnd they were standard clinchers too - not the tubeless version. To remove the tires, I need just one lever at most.

Yeah it will be interesting to see what happens here. Right now the only 13 speed offering is the gravel set and the only wheels with N3W (afaik) are Shamal Carbon, which also have some nods to gravel usage (j-pull spokes, wider rims). For use with the 12 speed road sets the N3W system uses an adapter, I guess time will tell if that has issues re wear, or power transfer. I think if we see N3W on Boras that might be an indator that a 13 speed road group is going to drop. No idea ofc - just speculating.gwerziou wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 6:39 pmI'd guess that within two years time all of their products will have transitioned to the new standard.ultimobici wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 8:16 amDoubtful as I believe the drive ring is a slightly different diameter.gwerziou wrote:I would assume that all Campy wheels will run N3W in the future. There's already technical manual on N3W freehub body swap on Fulcrum wheels.

I just mounted GP 5000 TL tires on my new Campy WTO 60s. This was my very first attempt at mounting tubeless tires and that was really hard. No way I could do it without tools, needed 3 tyre levers and still got blood on my hands. But, I managed to fit them before getting nervous breakdown and I am quite happy how they fit. They hold air without sealant for quite a few days and they look good. I have to add that I used an air compressor for pumping them up and that went without any problems.JayOJonson wrote: ↑Wed Nov 25, 2020 8:24 pmTook me ages, and some sore hands mounting some GP5k's onto my WTO 45jgpallero wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 9:05 amMmm, interesting. Just taken delivery of these 45's (Disc version). The look absolutely amazing. They feel very solid and well made. By far the most beautiful wheels *I* have ever owned. On the scales they come up heavier than the claimed weight (+40g). I was expecting this given the posts of others here - but still - would prefer an accurate claimed weight. One slight negative is that the front hub felt a little gritty when I spun it up between my fingers. I adjusted the preload and it felt better. Cannot wait to ride them, but they're for a new build, which is going to take a while.
Hey guys,
currently, building a V3rs and will probably go with WTO33 or 45's disc - My question is, have anyone mounted victoria Corsa 28mm on them? i like the ride fell of the 28mm and low pressure. I'm very curious to know if that works on the V3rs/WTO33 /45 and how they measure in real life.
Thanks
