He might have been comparing WTO tubeless to the tubulars he's used to riding...zappafile123 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 29, 2021 11:59 amEven Caleb Ewan said the same thing when we chatted about them!

If crosswind is your main concern then probably you need to look at Princeton wheels? You either love or hate its aesthetic but from many reviews I read, they seem to be performed really well, and if not one of the best in class, in crosswind situation. Their WAKE 6560 is 60/65mm variation depth (due to the ups and downs of the sine wave profile). I do not own them personally so I can't confirm the claims from the reviews.jzinckgra wrote: ↑Wed Sep 29, 2021 2:06 amWhat are your suggestions for hoops other than campy in the 55-60mm? From what I've read rovals are bad in crosswinds, enve 5.6 are fair. I'm not interested in going with another Chinese rim as I've already done that once and warranty issue was a turn off. What else should I consider? I'm 70kg

I wanted to get a set of Bora Ultra WTO disc 33's for my all road bike. Until Ekar electronic is release they will be in a Shimano drivetrain.
With the N3W freehub is it still the same freehub body swap to Shimano as with the prior Campy standard? I have the WTO 60's which have a standsrd campy freehub and simply swapped to Shimano.
Help appreciated!

No the Freehub body is different than regular WTO.
For WTO ultra and Shamal Carbon you need the freehub body FH-HGA33 for HG11s
For WTO you need the freehub body FH-BUU015 for HG11s
Campagnolo has good spare parts catalog directly on its website that you can search by exact wheel or groupset model.

Hey all,
I already have Mavic CXR 60 tubular wheelset, is it worth (aero/performance/stiffness wise) to swap and go for Bora WTO 60?
I run Campagnolo 12s groupset, so the match would be perfect, but it wouldn´t make sense if the CXRs are faster. I didn´t find any aero data for WTOs, but CXRs scored pretty good in Hambini wheel test FWIW.
Thanks

I doubt there's any detectable speed difference in practice, the considerations for me would be tubular vs. clincher and possibly better braking on the WTOs - not sure what the CXRs are like in that regard?christiancarr wrote: ↑Wed Nov 17, 2021 1:40 amHey all,

WTOs are a little lighter, despite being clinchers rather than tubs.

Braking on CXRs are ok, but no doubt WTOs would be better.
Weight is +- similar, CXRs use light tires + light Mastik, WTOs require heavier tires + sealant (or tubs).
What about rolling resistance? Could it make a difference in favor of WTOs?

i have CXR 60 and i have fulcrum speed 55 and had racing quattro. both fulcrum have AC3, and i can tell you, AC3 is inferior to CXR exalith brake track for sure. i suggest you stick with CXR. i personally dont rate WTO very high and have a number of friends who bought WTO60 and quickly sold them on 2nd hand market. however since im a campy fan, i love my bora and fulcrum speed; and this is a WTO thread, i dont want to say anything too harsh.christiancarr wrote: ↑Thu Nov 18, 2021 3:36 pmBraking on CXRs are ok, but no doubt WTOs would be better.

Some say pour 10ml water out of your bottle to save that last bit of the weight. Sorry, i go one step further, i tend to the rider off my bikes.
n+1...14 last time i checked, but i lost count

I´ll probably do the same and stay with CXR. They are very very aero due to NACA shape and strips...ingenious wheels.
Maybe I just like the WTO´s look and wanted to match the Campy grouposet
You have probably clincher version, because my CXR don´t have exalith brake track, just ,,normal´´ or basalt or what is it.
