Lightweight for wheels. Ax-lightness for frames.
Lightweight is more recognisable and often attracts the “wrong” type of attention. When I use Obermeyers my bike receives many unwanted advances from guys I wouldn’t want to share the same postcode with, let alone have a conversation. The same jackasses don’t know what AX is which makes it much better.
Agreed with many on this thread. LW for wheels, AX Lightness for components and their Vial Evo frames. Which to me, is the ultimate WW frameset.

I’m planning to get a pair of climbing wheels for the summer. It’s looking more and more like it’s going to be a pair of ax lightness ultra 25T. I’d love a pair of lightweights but I’m finding it very hard to pull the trigger on a pair as they get such mixed reviews. They do just look and have an aura of badass though! If they do bring out a newer model with a slightly more crosswind tolerable profile I’d sell my 303’s and snap buy a set.
Froome was riding ax wheels. It’s personal preference and also where you ride on a daily . I mostly ride in London so spending a fortune on a set of super light wheels is not really an option with some of the roads I ride . I would not be able to relax . If I lived in France or Spain etc then yes definitely go for some ax wheels.

LW for wheels. Ax for everything else. The Ax Vial though seems to be much heavier than when it first came out, but still lighter than LW frame. The LW frame though goes much better with the LW wheels, as everything is LW. The Ax frame though is more geared toward racing whereas the LW frame is for the MAMIL.
