Rim Stiffness : Schmolke 45TLO 45T vs. ENVE 4.5 T

Thinking about building a new wheel set. Wondering what people's experiences have been with the Schmolke TLO rims? Particularly interested in relative stiffness. 82kg rider, but I do my own maintenance and am relatively easy on my equipment. Thank you in advance.

Stiffness of any tall carbon rim will be more than adequate.

Plus, noone will have reliable data, especially for rims alone.

Understood, no one will have (valid) stiffness data on rims alone, but presuming one uses a given hubset(s) consistently, the variations in overall stiffness of across a range of wheels would be driven by the one variable, the rim. I've read a number of reviews on various hubs saying "best if used with a stiffer rim". Presuming (again) that a deeper rim is stiffer than a shallower rim (same number of spokes) trying to ascertain how a wheel built around the Schmolke TLO rim is likely to compare to a wheel built around the ENVE 4.5.

Which hub are you looking at that recommends usage with a stiffer rim? There are a number of great hubs out there which no such disclaimer is needed. carbon ti seems to be getting consistently good reviews. If you are concerned about stiffness, then going up in spoke count will make the biggest difference

Selecting the right hub and spoke gauge for the specific riders is AS important as the rim itself.
