I've just received a pair of Vittoria Corsa Control Tubulars (25mm) to go on my new tubular wheelset.

I was expecting red removable valve extensions, however they are black and despite a fair bit of persuasion don't appear to be removable. I was expecting these items to be removable (I had purchased a set of red 60mm extensions to fit) but it appears that this is not the case.

I am well aware that I can remove the valve core and add the extension. Can anyone confirm if this is now the norm for Vittoria tubulars?

I think they went back to normal a few years ago...

Oh well... Their website still mentions the red valve stems fitted to their high end tubulars.
I’ve ordered some short normal extensions and will use those instead.
Many thanks.

Vittoria switched to removable valve cores while ago, at least in their higher end offerings. Latest Pave was already with removable core.
