I know these rims- way to fragile for cx. Even with 32 spokes wheel won't be even close to relaible. Possibly not even safe. Have same weight as OP, rode them ( 24-28 on road )... IMO NOPE.

For 85kg rider ( read 100kg "system" ) I wouldn't recommend anything lighter than 400g ( tubular ) or 450g ( clincher ), 28-28 on spokes less flexy than Aerolite/ CX Ray. Sapim D-light, or DT Superspoke. 28-24 can work on solid rims as well, but.. 25g saved ? Nay...

maybe the op's CX races are in rivers of mud with no rocks in sight. In which case how reliable a wheel is is irrelvant as the OP will be sliding around on his/her bum.

Just get alloy rims and would not have to worry busting one on the steps or rocks. 24/28 would be better for CX duty.

Yeah. Hence the previous comments, I’m considering alloy rims as well. Which ones do you recommend for tubular and 24/28 spokecount?

Thank you Rainerhq. But your wheels are for disc. This is about cantilevers.
