HED Belgium rims on your pick of hub (White Industry a good option) with a higher end spoke like Sapim CX-Ray. Might be a bit over your 1500g goal but dependable as it gets. Chris King hubs might bump you over a grand on price.

Otherwise, some of the Fulcrum options, especially this time of year when things go on sale could be a nice choice.

Less than a grand will only get you as far as chinese carbon wheels, unless you want alloy. Multiple options there.

Flo30
Boyd altamont
And several hand build combos will get you there as well.

25mm to 45mm so you want shallowish to moderatley deep aero wheels.

That narrows it down alot.

Do you want them to be just light or stiff and light and aero. you can have all three even with a 50mm deep carbon rim.

I am looking for a secondary wheelset to use as training wheelset once racing starts that I can use anything not on my Aero 58 Tubulars. I am 136-38 lbs so I dont need super stiff. Training and back up set (pit wheels)

Close to 1400 grams would be nice. Depth not as picky but 35 would be good depth. BUT my currenty heavy alloy wheels are 19mm wide so not easy to use as back up in race and have to change brake cable length when swapping wheels which I would prefer to be simpler.

>1400 grams and 35 mm is not really possible with alloy. You gonna need carbon.

You may need wider race wheels then.

The venerable Kinlin XR31T 20F/24R built with CX-ray spokes, alloy nipples and bitex hubs will be 31mm deep fairly aero and under 1500g (1460g with a hub set weight of 280g).

I think that ticks your boxes except on width.

Take a look at farsports website and check the options.

Fulcrum Quattro Carbons - 1480g (some are closer to 1440g) 40mm profile, carbon, low spoke count, less than a grand.
