Hi,

Could someone please advise me on lightweight disc brake wide wheels. Budget is no subject.

Thx!

Bora discs if you have campag are worth looking at

That is if rim braked Boras are anything to go by

Since budget is no issue get them carbon custom made. You wouldn't want to go over 45-46 mm because at that point weight starts climbing in exchange for aero since the wheel gets deeper.

Go to the custom wheel builders and see what they have to offer. BOYD has good reviews. A set a Enve perhaps since budget is no issue. There are a lot of custom options out there.
I keep using prowheelbuilder in GA. for all my wheels.

I wouldn't put these anywhere near the wide category, however great they are.

What size tires do you plan to run? The will determine how wide of rims you should be looking at. Tubular or clincher or tubeless?

Money is no object, but what about durability? Tune and Extralite make some really lightweight disc hubs but I wouldn't put them at the top of my list for a durable wheelset. I'm also not a fan of 6 bolt rotor attachment, preferring centerlock. If I wasn't concerned about cost, I'd have built my disc wheelset using DT Swiss 180 hubs: https://www.dtswiss.com/en/products/hub ... 0-classic/
