Wow, expensive. Is light though. Works out to be AU $470 delivered. Dont know if i would like the configuration. Still not sure about the Sram configuration. Im so used the the Dura Ace and get on well with the 21,23,25,28. Only time will tell. Cant wait to ride the Ventoux, hopefully the glue remover will be here by Wednesday and can get them ready for next weekend.

Couldn't be bothered waiting for the Schwalbe glue remover so tried Goof Off, and it worked really well with a lot of elbow grease. After 1hr 40mins i managed to get every last bit of glue off, with a quick wipe down with acetone its ready for Tufo tape. Reduced the weight by 5g to.

Let me know how it goes please.
Glue remover has arrived in Sydney so it should be with me by Wednesday. I'll probably wait and use that to see how much easier it is. Hopefully not so much rubbing. !!!

Yeah it is strong, the wife wasn't happy I did it in doors with windows and doors shut. Defiantly need air flow, did help clear the sinuses though. !!!

i remember a few years ago cleaning off tub glue with a can of white gas, indoors

maybe it was the fumes, but it was only after that i thought about exactly how flammable/explosive all that petrol/vapour was, and i told myself "you ****ing idiot, never do that indoors again!"

based on goof off composition, it's probably another one to do outdoors and away from sources of ignition (including cleaning cloths/clothing that might cause a static discharge)

Well the Schwalbe glue remover finally arrived today, 18 days after the order was put it in, on a 4-6 delivery. Bicycle hero are crap.
The remover certainly does its job, but not without a lot of work, 3 hrs in total. The remover was applied 4 times, plus the use of Goof Off and Acetone, there was a lot of stubbon glue, 15g in total lost.
I dont know how you guys prefer that over tape. !!!
What did help was the ice cream stick, it was the perfect shape and size for the rim to remove excess glue.
Tape, tyre and cassette will be fitted Friday ready to ride Saturday. Can't wait.!!!

Nice wheels.

On the glue remover, told ya that Goof-Off really works. Household paint thinner works, too. Acetone, only for cleaning-off the residue from the former. Stick with the glue, too.

On the cassette, I like the SRAM, too, although they still sound funny. I have an older 'Powerdome' that is really loud. That Rotor is interesting...

The Sram will be going on these Ventoux so I'll see how I get on with the combination and noise Saturday. Goof Off is only good for thin glue, the rear wheel had way to much for my liking. Lucking I'll never have this shitting job of removing glue again. Can't beat tape. !!!
