It's funny, All the time i chase to loose the grams and now I'm adding 118 with these wheels over the Obie's. I did like the way the Sram cassette is all one piece, I didn't realise. So easy to install.

Shame other companies can't follow suit. If I get on with the Sram cassette I might get two more for my Obies and Meilesteins. If it save weight and the freehubs then it would be a good idea on such expensive wheels.
On my AX-lightness wheels I use the Sram cassette, I think the Shimano would destroy the extralite freehub body... On my now spare DT Swiss Mon Chasserals I wouldn't put Shimano back on after having to pry it off and then file down the damage...
Well i went to put the wheels on ready for tomorrows ride only to find the brand new rear tyre flat.
So off it came with the tape and luckily i had spares.
Lighter to saved another 3g.
All i can think is the valve is faulty. Hopefully PBK will replace without to much hassle. We will see.

Well, i can say im in love with these Ventoux, i actually prefer them over the Obies. Really liking the Sram cassette to, the configuration works well with the hills that i ride, cant say i notice it being noisier than the Shimano cassettes as some have pointed out in the forum.
As the wind was about 11kmph this morning i changed over to the Obies, wish i hadn't as the Ventoux just seem to roll faster, certainly more PBs when they are on.
Think the Obies will become obsolete. Still have Meilensteins to which i haven't used in years. Will sell them to fund a Berk frame. !!!

My experience with Ventoux III is similar. Not just a wheelset for the climbs, it does everything exceptionally well.

You have always said how good the Ventoux were, and i totally agree with you, they are an all round wheel. I cant believe how much difference losing 20mm from the rim makes, even adding weight.
Feel like selling the Obies and getting some Gifs for a future build.
