As I have repeated many times on this and other forums.....welcome to Mavic's dodgy scales!!!

And don't EVER break a spoke.....3 month wait....if you're lucky!

Your Bora 35s are I think 60g heavier than mine and many others on the forum.

Yeah, I've got Bora Ones 40g lighter than you have ! My dad is also bigger than your dad.

First part of that is definitely true ... unless the scales are out!

Maybe Mavic do their weighing in Annecy, 450m above sea level, so you need to convert

Mine are Bora Ones. My Bora 50s weighed less than your Ones (1222g IIRC). My Ksyrium Pro Carbon Tubs weighed 1200g I believe, so about 10g over claimed.

Yep, the magic Mavic scales. Bought a set of Cosmic Pro Carbon, advertised at 1650g for the pair. Seemed reasonable for a set of ALU wheels + carbon fairing.

Actual weight was 1780g (with rim strips).

Perhaps the local gravitaitonal constant is lower where their scales reside.

Or maybe they're just scammers.

The rear rim is asymmetric. Just an FYI.
I write the weightweenies blog, hope you like it :)

Disclosure: I'm sponsored by Velocite, but I do give my honest opinion about them (I'm endorsed to race their bikes, not say nice things about them)

Mavic advertised weights are always with campy freehubs, Shimano freehubs are heavier so this may account for the discrepancy

My Cosmic Carbon SL Cs without skewers or rim strips (shimano freehub) were approx 150 grams over the stated weight. Not happy. I wonder how much less the campy freehub weighs....
Braking doesn't seem any better than other carbon wheels.

Has anyone tried black prince pads even though it voids the warranty?
