Looking for a light wheelset. Don't particularly want to go down the tune or extralite hub route for a number of reasons. Any thoughts on this combo? (Old alchemy hubs).

Make sure you get rims with a decals and machined brake surfaces not the older non MSW and with embossed logo. They are light and handle tension well. Not seen much feedback on the hubs though.

I can recommend the rims. I have the factory build with extralite hubs. Amazingly stiff. I actually can't notice any difference between them and my xentis and lightweights. Braking is great with with campy pads. Almost as good as the xentis and better than lightweight meilenstein. No experience with the alchemy hubs but they always had good reviews before the orc ul recall.
