I received my Zipp 303 NSWs recently but notice that there's a weird sound when coasting at high speeds. It's like some high pitched metal bouncing.

Any other owners of the 303 or 404 NSWs are encountering this as well?

Yes, every ride I've been on since getting them at least one person has asked if my wheel is okay. I'm pretty sure it's just how the hub sounds.

It's a Zipp hub, nothing to worry about...

Good to know I'm not the only one with this sound, thanks!

It's the sound of coins falling out of your pocket. Every Zipp NSW makes that sound.

The Hub need servicing if it makes that sound. It's not supposed to.

My 404 NSW's with Shimano hubs are super silent when coasting. I have read the SRAM versions are really loud.

So should yours as Shimano and Sram that's exactly the same hub with identical freehub body ;)

The pawls/ratchet mechanism that gives the noise is the same, regardless of what type of freehub one has for the same hub.

I would also like to add that there is nothing to be overjoyed about a silent freehub. If the pawl engagement mechanism is not noisy, basically it means the pawls are undersized and/or the springs are weak. Good freehubs make some noise... Hope, Chris King... etc... noise can be attenuated with lubrication, but it should be there.
The exception are the double ratchet mechanisms (DT SWiss and the latest Mavic) which are completely silent when lubricated, but they operate differently

There are no pawls and springs in NSW hub ;)

I bought some new 404 NSW's at the end of last season and have only started riding them again. They too sounded like there was something loose/metallic in the freehub mechanism. With the wheels was a small bottle of Zipp Cognition oil. I found the servicing video from Zipp and re-lubed the magnetic clutch mechanism as prescribed - they sound 100% better now.

My NSWs don't sound pretty, but I wouldn't call it a metallic bouncing sound. In reality they're quieter than my other freehubs using a SPL meter, but psychoacoustically they seem louder.
