So, no. unless your tube is very undersized to save weight from the start, i'll be more than fine.

While, latex can stretch up to 7.5 X, can 19-24mm tube be used on a that measure 30-32mm wide (e.g. 28mm Conti 4000S)

I use normal Michelin Ultralite innertyres in my 28mm gp4000s, completely trouble free, although I have to admit, my 28mm's have only seen a couple of 100 miles  But it was on gravel and cobbles

Yes, but i'll be thin.
How exactly thin it is to be problematic, i don't know. So it's just safer to use bigger 25-28c version for the tire that big.

Continental GP4000Sii 28mm, measures 31mm (!) On 17c rim. However they are 29mm high, which is a problem in most frames, even some disc and new-generation direct mount frames.

Ive found that it just touches inside of caliper when standing up and pedalling.

Does anyone have the real width of a GP 4000SII 28mm on the 25C Enve 4.5 AR?

They should be quite wider than the 31mm wide rim?

34mm measured, according to Darren Baum of Baum Cycles, though I can't find a link now.

Note Enve recommend you only use 'tubeless ready' tyres, so they seat well on the hookless rim on the 4.5AR, so Darren has switched to Schwalbe Pro1 28mm which measure 31.5mm wide. You can still use tubes in the tubeless ready tyres if you wish.

Compass Bon Jon Pass (35mm) Extralite on Light Bicycle RM29C06 (22C hookless inner) 37.6mm wide @40psi after 1500km, 38mm after 3000km, setup tubeless.

Compass Babyshoe (standard casing) 650Bx42mm measure 44.0mm on Roval Traverse SL 30mm internal rims, so most likely true to size or slightly undersized on a more conventional width rim. This was taken immediately after tubeless set up, but they had lived on another set of rims for a year so I imagine they won't stretch any more.

Anyone with Light Bicycle 17.9mm internal/25mm external widths rims? Would like to know the mounted tire width for 25mm tires (e.g. GP 4000S II or Schwalbe One V-Guard). Thx!
