my riding buddy is thinking to go tubular and asked if he could have my semi used veloflex 22mm sprinter. but previously i've used glue and he wants to go tape. not sure if it would be safe for him to use Tufo tape on there?

Anyone has long term experience of both Continental Sprinter
I used Sprinters exclusively on my every-day wheelset and they are excellent tyres.
I had NO punctures for 10+ months, until I went over a pothole and double-pinch-flatted.

I'm not onto the new Vittoria Corsa Control V2... hopefully they're as robust as the Sprinters

Surely they are not on pair with Vittoria Control in terms of ride quality.
But for somebody robustness may be more important factor, to each his own.

Velovlex realised new tub Service Course / Servizio Corse in 25mm 265g 350tpi. Tyre tread, haven't seen such before.
Servizio Corse looks yummy.

How’s that differ from arenberg?

Lighter (around -30 g), more tpi (350 vs 320 for Arenberg) and new tread ... I find it very similar in appearance to the Wolfpack tubulars, with a growing concern about rolling resistance in a context of competition with tubeless tires.

No, they're worlds apart.

I think this tyre needs its own topic here.

Have they made the Mastik Pro work properly yet? I remember the Magic version was anything but.

I haven’t tried it, but isn’t it the same stuff, just renamed. Cuz it wasn’t as “Magic” as they first thought? I don’t know.

What did you use to remove the glue from your rim? I found the stuff pure evil to remove- never again.

The ride quality of corsa control isn’t great, but they are very durable. I use them as a daily training tire.

The new Veloflex look very tasty, can’t wait to get my hands on some.

I use Schwalbe glue remover. Easy as with that. Guy in Sydney sells it on Ebay.
