I didn't realize the housing was carbon - all clear now. Great work!

Great work again!
Why don't you bind the stem and handlebar together as you can't take of the stem anyway?

Yes i will do that. Just havn´t had the time for doing it. And it was even a little bit off that if i would brake the bar in an accident i could still use the stem.

Did not have done anything more to the bike but it works like normal. Started to use the flickr and as i never have shown some big pictures i´ll show this one. It is from before i changed the wires but otherwise it is the same bike.

Yes it is on the side of the left downtube near the headtube - a bit longer up then normal so that i do not have to reach down as far as normal and can not get my fingers in the frontwheel.
The good thing with having it on the left side is that i still have quite good control by holding the bar when shifting and can brake softly which i never could with having it on the other side.

Here in the link you can see it a bit better http://www.flickr.com/photos/111426698@ ... 620913515/
same picture as this one but much bigger

+1 for the cable routing!
Did you have much trouble to get the cable through?

No actually not. I have an liner in the frame. And for the liner i just removed the fork and then put the liner in from the rear of the frame and could fetch it easy in the headtube.
