And wouldn't you know, my new wheels arrived an hour after I got home form the race (it was a hillclimb) Still managed to take first, but I would have been rightly pissed off if I hadn't.

Age is 52 years old, amateur level bike raced in US and Europe in the early 70's, triathlons & marathons in the 80's and 90's, cruising and taking my time over the road ever since. I am a Senior Database and Application Engineer and have been a Weight Weenie since the very beginning. I love to climb because it feels so good when I stop!

I'm 17, a student, and I live in NW USA. I mostly race 'cross, with a little road and mtn thrown in for fun in the summer. My 'cross bike currently weighs 17.9lbs--but I'm hoping to loose another 2lbs... won't be too tough, just takes $$$!

I am 16, so still at school.
This is my bike of this season, next year I have a new one, which will be much lighter and stiffer.

I'm 26, finishing med school in a year and half, at that point I'll finally be able to afford all the nice Gucci parts for my bike and I'll need em cause I'll probably gain 20 pounds from not having time to ride :(

Road racing is cool, but theres no excuse for triathlon!

I may not be very good at what I do... But at least I'm slow!
