And please tell me if u used the FD spacers/shims which came with the frame. Can you please post a picture of the FD mount?

Sorry didn´t post earlier but was doing my winter training and forgot about this thread...

I haven´t touched original FD. I can take photos tomorrow of FD mount.

Decided to build the wheels with Revo spokes. Spokes are on their way from starbike.com. Will post pictures when wheels are build by lbs.

This is somethig i have been consering but i haven´t had any problems with my Eggbeaters. Been running great for 2 racing seasons. 3 years is starting. I service my pedals once a year.

Lateralus, I run a S1 XX fd on my StumpJumper, which uses a direct mount like the Epic. Just remove the Shimano mount and it will bolt up 8)

I got my Ai2 rotors from r2.

Also bought FRM X-12 rear skewer but it didn't fit Epic´s frame. Skewers threads don´t match with the DT Swiss skewer. Maybe i should have read r2´s site more carefully before ordering... Here´s pic:

And the problem...

^ Not yet. They are built by LBS. Fortunately there´s still so much snow here in Finland that i´m in no hurry. First race is in middle of may.

I have a question regarding the enve post

How tight do you tighten it?
When untightening the clamp to adjust the saddle angle, do you have your clamp stuck in the seatpost head because it was tightened?

I want to mobe my saddle but my clamps are really stuck in there.

Hope you understand what I mean

When i installed my Carbon rail clamp i used Weldite grease as instructed in Enve manual. I haven´t ever had a problem with Enve clamp when grease is used in assembly. I don´t remember the exact torque value but it was what was instructed by Enve.

Finally got my racing wheels built. No pics yet but weight is nice. Front wheel 550g and rear 648g. The´re not the pretiest looking wheel set but i like the weight. And wheels are marathon race day only.

I got fed up with Eggbeaters finally and got a set of XTR pedals. Also S-Works Toupe didn´t play well with offroad riding so it wen´t to my S-Works Tarmac. Need to order some carbon railed Phenom. So weight what i lost with the new wheels i ended up adding elsewhere... :noidea:

Yes my bike is 26".

I've tried dozens of saddles and only ones that i'm really comfortable are the ones with 143 mm width. That's why S-works Toupe was on top of my list and it's very comfortable saddle on my road bike.

Will post pics of wheels later today or tomorrow.

I'm not a MTB guy but that Epic looks amazing. The Enve seat post has a figure no other seatpost can pull off...

Your Tarmac is stunning also.
