Red hub is here to stay. After all it´s weight weenies not color weenies. ;) My new S-Works Toupe 143mm arrived and i think it looks the business with Enve post.

Here´s Enve 7 mm rail clamp

And Oversize carbon rail clamp. No extra weight penalty here!

LBS also had new Specialized XC grips on stock so i picked one pair to test with ESI Racers Edge. When held in hand (not on bar) it doesn´t feel half as comfortable as ESI but weight is good so i must try them on my winter training mtb.

What did you think of the ENVE seatpost? I read a popular magazine review that said the seat clamps kept on slipping......

No slipping on my post. Absolutely no problems with the seat post.

Well... This sucks!

Got delivered silver hub even i ordered red. I still think this hub is going to be used to my wheel build. At least weight is 5 g under the claimed and thank god it wasn´t green or blue... And it was in really good discount.

Would you please tell me exactly which frint derailleur you are using? Spec recommends S3 but an S1 would be installable without the adaptor.
And please tell me if u used the FD spacers/shims which came with the frame. Can you please post a picture of the FD mount?

Nice bike...

Only thing I hate (and have them still myself on my Merida 96 3000D carbon) are the eggbeater pedals... It is so damn difficult to get in everytime I lock out...

Or is it me?

Do yourself a favour and change o er to new xtr980xc pedals - coming from eggbeaters its like a dream come true. i did it. 150g more weight but no regrets :)

I'm not sure if you have ordered spokes or built up you hubs yet, but between the cx-ray and the revo spokes I would definitely choose the cx rays. I have actually done laboratory fatigue testing on all of dt swiss' and sapim's spokes. Between your two choices, the cx rays can handle higher tensile loads and they also have a higher fatigue life. Not much of a weight difference between the two, maybe a 0.05g in favor of sapim.

That being said, I would personally choose dt aerolites over cx-rays. The are comparable as far as weights go, and in my testing they had about a 10-13% longer fatigue life. I also think the surface finish is much better. Just don't go with the powder coated dt spokes, they process weakens the spokes a fair amount. Hope this helps!

Just finished my 2011 custom built. 8,93 kg all incl. Makes a lot of fun. And i nearly dont recognize the weight compared to my corresponding 2011 sworks ht (8,1 kg).
