Hi There,

Long time reader but firsttime poster, hope i'm welcome.

After several more race oriented and pratical builds i'm taking a step back in racing. So my next build will be a WW on a budget. Origianally i wanted to buy a Tarmac SL3 Project Black, but computer said no;).

So i bought this Termac SL2 size 54, and I'm sending it to a painter. At first i was thinking of doing a "fake" project black, but how origional would that be? So i went with bleu, skybleu, with black text/logo's. The text and logo's are just going to be a logo on the headtube, 'specialized' on the downtube and Tarmac on the inside of the non-drive side lower rearfork, like the Project Black.

I'm doing it on a bit of a budget, so i'm not shure wether i'm going to use the Force group i allready have, or use Red Black. The Sram Red Black parts might be a long term plan, but if they're needed to get below 6, ill buy it right away. The idea is to go for "all black" (no logo's) for all parts.

What do you guys think of the part choise? Did i miss anything?

This is the speclist i have in mind (weights are estimates for now):

I'm doing the same thing, I've got a Tarmac SL2 built with Record 10. Right now I'm thinking about doing the black with white lettering. I really like that blue color, that would look good with black/white lettering. Color reminds me of the new Ritte bike paintjobs.

Keep things posted, very excited to see this built up and I'll keep things updated once I'm done too.

If you're Dutch, why not orange? The most Euro color would probably be the white.

Why not a fresh green, like a granny smith apple.

I know, its awesome. The painter was afraid he wasn't going to get the color right of a picture and that i would be stuck with a brownish snotty looking color. To risky...

Dutch people will understand, a lot of shabby old cars from the former national telecom company have that color....

I just love the blue color, i think it ll also look well with the all black parts... Record 10 is still one of the prettiest groupos around, hould look well on a black s-works. Why not do a transparant coating to expose the UD carbon, like the project black?

The paintjob will look great, but, The frame you posted doesn't look like a 54, it looks like at least a 56 maybe even 58 based on how tall that headtube is.
