I like Berk Composite's saddles a lot. Can anyone recommend a saddle that would be similar to my Fizik Arione Versus Evo? I'm think the regular size unpadded Lupina.
For the past few years I've been riding a Fizik Arione 00. So same shape minus the channel. It was mostly comfortable for me but a couple times recently I've ended up with a little bit of post ride discomfort, so I wanted to try something with a cutout. I ended up buying the unpadded lupina in the 132mm size. I've only had it on the bike for a week, but that week did include a 200 mile ride. It's been great for me so far. Even after 11 and a half hours in the saddle, I had no pain. Shape fit well, cutout did what I had hoped it would, and there's enough flex in it that it felt like it moved well with me. After 200 miles in the saddle, my ass was the absolute least of my worries which is about as good as you can hope for.
I have 2 unpadded Lupinas on 2 bikes and love them both - if I do build up a THIRD bike (god forbid my wife finds out my scheming plan to accumulate the parts slowly) I know I'll be getting another lupina for it :D

Most of what other guys have said about it ring true - the wings flex to allow it to soak up road vibrations and small bumps etc and really doesn't feel uncomfortable even after 5 hour long rides. My previous Arione R5 was just all pain after 3 hours.

Question : any issues with the 7mm rails with saddle bags? Silca seatroll for reference.
Am running that exact combo. No worries at all! Occasionally even an Arundel Tubi with a Veloflex carbon 23mm spare tubular, no problems there either.

Measure sit bones (bike shops have this gel you can sit on) and add 20-30mm to the measurement for saddle width.
Also, having a correct bike fit plays a big role on saddle comfort.

Thanks. I'm picking up a Lupina in 3k gloss from Eric within the next day or so! I'll post a picture when I can.

I really like the finish of the one on the right what is that?

I have a padded lupina on one of my bikes and it’s the comfiest road saddle I’ve ever used. I know these things are subjective but the fact it is so forgiving is universal. Really great saddle. Lightweight and comfy.

Without quote on quote .... It's the Berk Lupina Innegra. You can even find it on their website

Been getting some saddle slippage..
Also results in clamp tilt changes. Specialised Tarmac sl6 have one bolt seat clamps. If the saddle isn't tight then saddle and tilt shifts. This happens at 5nm without paste.

Caliper shows the Specialised power have a 7.39mm real width and lupina a very correct 6.99mm.

Would it be an issue with wrapping the rails with some electrical/duct tape , would it add some stress risers to rail if tape is slightly uneven?

Tarmac SL6 seat clamp torque is 13.5Nm.

Pretty sure the Berk recommended limit for the saddle rail is only 5nm.

With only a single bolt.. Have to go with the lowest number...no?

You are correct that Berks max torque is 5Nm. But Specialized saddle clamp holds the saddle rail without ”sharp” torque from pretty long area so I would at least ask from Berk that is it ok to use more torque on this kind of clamping system.

I have now S-Works Romin Evo saddle and I am also thinking to try Berk Lupina so if you get the answer it would be useful to share it here also
