Can you explain how that seatpost works? Does the clear part at the bottom wedge it in to the frame with the open close dial at the top?

Yes the clear part works like a wedge. A dial at the top of the post pulls it upward and fixes it like an old fashioned quil stem.

I had a Peugeot I got from the z team back in the early 90's that worked the same way. I think the post was made by sr or stronglight?

Great to see BMC work with new and old ideas to create such a beautiful bike.

Excellent videos! Nice dedication finding a way to ride in so much congestion. It reminds me of central park rides in Manhattan or Prospect Park rides in Brooklyn or Polo Fields rides in San Francisco.
