Finally I made it! The weight is still with uncut brake hoses. I will put the 11-34 XTR cassette on next which I allready have and still be under 8 kilo. The weight of the cassette was a little bit over 240g, approx. 20g heavier than my 11-32. I will weigh it and take a picture before putting it on my bike.

Some new pics. Sorry about the mud but this time of year in Finland there is always mud around if you ride offroad. Didn't have the time to clean the bike up after every ride so here it is. Weight and speclist in previous post. I would like to upgrade the crankset because I hate the look of that big ring and there aren't any replacement rings for this BCD except from FSA and Controltech. Im waiting for the new Race Face Next and Next SL cranks to hit the store. Maybe I will pick up a set of those if they are not ridiculously overpriced. I think 28/42 would be perfect for me and I might go back to 175mm length too. Still have the 11-34 XTR cassette waiting but I will change it same time with the crankset because I only need it for marathon races and not going to race this year anymore. Also have a KMC X10SL chain and maybe I will put that on at the same time. Extralite grips are pretty shitty. Maybe have to change them to something heavier. Maybe to some ESI grips or something.

The bike looks great. I love my Extralite grips :thumbup: What's wrong with yours?

As for the crankset, how abaut Lightning?

Mattias Hellore can make you any BCD chainrings by the way.

Thanks. The grips are slipping like hell. I will try to spray some hair spray under them if that helps. They are also a little too thin for me. At least when using with gripshifters.

I've heard some problems with the bb and spider loosening. I really wan't something that I can rely on and not just go for the lightest stuff.

Yes, I know but I want to have more options available for my crankset. Does he make pinned and ramped chainrings and not Ti ones? I would like to have something that shifts fast.

My grips are solid. Mounted with hairspray. I cannot twist them even if I want to.

A friend has lightning cranks, no problems at all. I don't like the look alone+head some bad things happen too. I hope Race Face has fixed cracking spider arms now.

Mattias is an alternative, he does Ti, alu but I have never tried any of his chainrings. Sure going for a better cranks first is best option.

Good luck with getting a bike that you want :thumbup:

Made some changes:

- Changed the Tune BuBu headset from red to black
- Changed the Fun Works N-Light seat collar from red to black
- Extralite Ultragrips -> ESI Chunky grips
- FSA K-Force Light cranks -> SRAM X.0 cranks 39/26 175mm with Team GXP bb
- Shimano XTR 11-32 -> SRAM XG-999 cassette
- KMC X9SL -> KMC X10SL chain

ESI Chunky grips are a bit heavier than the Extralites I had but are super comfy. Some color changes made so the bike is now mostly black. I was wating for the new Race Face Next or Next SL 2x10 cranks but desided to go for the Srams because RF went out of business. I went with the 39/26 combo so I could run a 11-32 cassette. I think this is good gearing for me. The new cranks look good in all black but are a bit heavier than my old FSA ones. Now I didn't need to mount the 11-34 XTR I had waiting and took some weight penalty back with the new and light XG-999 cassette. Paired the new cranks and cassette with a KMC X10SL chain that I also allready had. Bike sits now at exactly the same 7940g weight. Will post some new pictures some day but changed the speclist to the first post.

The bike in the background is not a road bike, it's a Focus Mares CX2 2011 cyclocross bike which I use as a commuter. I can take some pics of it too when I take new pictures of the No Saint. It's pretty sweet bike with a carbon frame and fork, Ultegra 6700 and DT Swiss RR1450 Mon Chaseral wheels. But i must warn you it has a bell! :D

Here is my commuter as requested. It's a Focus Mares CX 2 2011 in medium size (54cm). I have Continental GP 4season 28mm tyres for summer. I will change the bartape to black one because the white one isn't so practical... Maybe add some white bars at the same time to keep the white theme on? I use Eggbeaters because I have them on my MTB too and I have only one pair of shoes at the moment... Otherwise I could use road pedals and shoes because this is kind of a road bike for me. I don't ride cross with it. The reason I have a cross bike as a "road bike" is just because as a commuter I have wider range of tyres to use in different seasons here in Finland. And yes, it has a bell! :D

Weight is 8160g with these tyres. Should be around 8 kilo with the "summer" tyres.
