And Cheers: gimme some time to put the parts on.....
I hope to get some time this weekend, but if the weather is nice i ride first and put the parts on later.
No No! You got it backwards. You put on the parts first then go riding to "test" out the new parts.
Ok, ok, you have it your way!
I did change it all today!
The cassette went from 245 grams to 167 grams, the FD from 125 to 83 and the chain from 259 to 240 grams. I was hoping to get more out of the chain.....
Weight now is 6875 grams.

Very nice!
Nothing like having a bastardized bike. I get all these funny looks for road bike snobs when I show up with my Cervelo equiped with Dura-Ace shifters, Campy Record Cranks, Zero Grav brakes, Crankbrother Eggbeater 4Ti MTB pedals and nokon cables.
So far you have got:
Sram Red
Campy Record
Shimano Dura-Ace
Fulcrum Cranks and wheels.
I love it!
How did you find this frame?

'99 you say???!!!
Geez!
I think there are a few manufacturers who could afford to take a leaf out of some "older" designs! That's a very nice looking bike!

Well i actually like that it is non-standard. As you see i like Shimano, Sram and Campagnolo
And the frame: yes, it is still a top of the bill aluminium frame.
I just came across this frame on a Dutch secondhand trade website.
I bought it for €250,-- and in between spend something like €1500,-- on it now.
So, can't hardly buy me a nice roadbike with these components on it for that money!

Any updates?
Yes Cheers, there is an update, but not one you would expect i guess! See startpost for my Klein Aura project.
Copy from startpost:
Wishlist (which is based on a moderate budget):
Campa Athena CT compact with Shamal two way fit wheels;
or:
Sram Force with Fulcrum Torq RS cranks and Fulcrum one or zero wheels (two way fit).
What do you prefer? I really cannot make up my mind. Budget and weights for both builds are about the same. And i want to run tubeless clincher tires, any thoughts about that? Do or don't?
I hope it ends up below 7 kilos at first on a moderate budget!

First parts are coming in:
Thomson X2 110mm tuned with tita bolts 145 grams (and 22 grams on spacers);
Easton EC90 Aero (still to be delivered) est. weight 225 grams.
and i'm still not out of my final build plan.
Maybe Sram Force and Tune TSR27 wheels....of Campa Athena/Chorus with Shamal wheels........
