Hi All,
My first post on here but I thought I'd introduce my winter build. It's was a pretty hefty Kinesis R2. I've got an Aithien but wanted some clearance and mudguard mounts for Christmas. Stock it weighed in at around 10.35kg in a 57.

Mods so far are
Ritchey wcs stem
Zipp ergo 80s
Scribe inception 50 wheel set
Pirelli pzero 32mm
Fizik saddle
Ultegra cassette
Ultegra cranks

Still to find a lightweight seatpost, stock kinesis is 305g and I've got a lightweight seatpost collar on order which will trim about around 13g.

I'm hoping to find a seatpost in the sub 200g category but reasonably priced options seem thin on the ground. Suggestions welcome . . .

So it sits just over 10kg currently, hoping I can get it into the 9's with the new seatpost (the kinesis guards weight about 640g I believe, but they're worth it).

I think for a reasonable winter build I'm about at the limit. I could have saved 100g if I'd fitted the alternative Goodyear eagles but I've had good experiences with the Pirellis.

Thoughts / feedback welcome.

Nice build, always like to see a practical bike on here. Looks like the R2 has a standard 27.2 mm seatpost, so the cheapest and best lightweight option is undoubtedly an Elita One post, they're about 130-ish grams for $20-25 depending on the seller and sales pricing.

Cheers @frnchy I'll take a look at the Elita posts, sound like they could do the job. I also think some lightweight thru axles seem good bang for buck.

Trying to keep the build fairly practical for winter duties etc but it does get quite addictive trimming bits here and there
