Greetings fellow Weight weenies!

Last year I picked up one of my dream frames a Black INC Supersix evo nano,
Image

I was really excited to build this frame but unfortunately due to it being too big for me being a size 56 I had to let her go. I was bummed out because I always wanted that frame colorway but I'd rather be safe than sorry, I sold it to a good friend of mine who made it his dream build.
Image

So that brings me back to finding another frame, Since I could'nt find a supersix evo black INC in my size I decidied to ditch that idea and I picked up a team edition frame only no fork in a 54 that needed carbon repair for $180 on FB Marketplace.
Image
This is the damage
Image
I was able to source a fork through my LBS since they are a cannondale dealer they had a few parts in thier archive.
Image

So now finally having a frame to build the plan was to have all the paint stripped off the frame completley. I sent out my frame to a local friend who specializes in carbon frame repair he also fixed the Black INC frame I had pruchased prior. He was able to inspect the frame thoroughley and fixed the crack above the rear triangle. I chose to not run red etap because I want to keep this frame mechanical for now, My friend asked me if I wanted to shave off the cable guide you can see some of the raw carbon in this pic.
Image

I will have more detailed pictures of the frameset and weights later this week.
Parts for the build so far

Sram Red 22 10speed with 11 speed shifters
Sram Red 170mm Crank arms
Carbon TI chainrings
Cane Creek EE brakes
Jagwire Cables
berk lupina short nose saddle
Wheelset Winspace Hyper R33
Tires Conti GP5000

I'm still undecided on what finishing kit Im going to run any suggestions would be great!
cheers till next time!

Finally got my frame back from paint, That's right paint! The shop that did my carbon repair did a horrible job clear coating and wet sanding the frame. I was extremely upset with the finish and decided to take it to my friend who paints my cars, We decided to add candy black in the clear coat to make it look less brown and used a special 3 stage high gloss clear coat.

Carbon repair shop's clear coat absolute trash! The carbon repair was done well at least. If you look closely in the picture below you can see how they did'nt even clear certain spots you can also see how the carbon looked very brown.

Now compared to my friends work

Now the build has finally begun! I stripped my masi rim brake and swapped over all the parts from that previous build.

This finish looks amazing! I would love to do something similar to my bike one day, but that's after I finish everything else on it first. Paint job is the last thing I want to do on it.
Did you weigh the frameset before and after you took stripped the paint off? Wondering if you managed to lose some weight by stripping the paint 🤔
Lovely build! 6.45kg is a very respectable weight. Looks like you can easily save some weight at the stem and cranks, but it looks amazing as it is.

Thank you,
Unfortunately I did'nt get to weigh it after but I went a lil heavy on the clear coat because I wanted it to be as glossy as possible. I have a set of hallowgram cranks arriving today but i did order a set of carbon ti chainrings as well for my Dura ace cranks wont see those till November.

I'm here again to say, wow this looks absolutely stunning 😍 can't wait to see it with the new cranks on! I'm interested to see how much weight you'll save. I'm about to put sisl crankset on my supersix today too!

I picked up a hollowgram crankset last week to try it out before I buy set of SL2 crank arms, My original plan was to swap chainring on my DA9100 cranks to Carbon TI. Unfortunately wait times on anything from Carbon TI is almost a year away.

I got really lucky and picked up a set yesterday dreams do come true :beerchug:

IMO, the SI crankset is better suited to your Supersix. It's also it's lighter than the DA setup.

The Carbon TI rings may be bling, but they are the same weight as the DA rings and you'll loose the perfect Shimano shifting.

Installed new Decals and chainrings Installed It's my 3rd set of carbon ti chainrings I have them on two of my other bikes never had an issue shifting so far so good. Really loving how the bike looks now, I have a few other changes ahead to lose a few more grams but for now I’m content.

Hello
I am following your notation because I am making a bicycle with the same characteristics as yours. At the moment I have removed the paint from the frame and fork and then I will assemble the light components that I have.
I am closely following the evaluation of your bicycle.
all the best
