I decided to start a thread for my 2 month old non S-Works Tarmac which replaced my Cervelo R5.
Using mostly the same components, so far the Tarmac is over 150g lighter.
I have a full part list but I did not weigh everything.
The groupset and the wheels moved over from my R5.
I wanted a light bike, but I did not want to spend an extra $2000 to save 100g with an S-WORKS frame.
The weight is 5945g including the pedals, computer mount, radar mount and bottle cages.

I already have nearly 1000 miles on it. I cannot tell the difference between the 2 bikes in any way. I thought the specialized would feel faster due to it being somewhat Aero focused but they feel the same to me.
I'm still really happy with the switch. I put over 20k miles on my r5 over 3.5 years and I wanted to try something new. I really like the way the bike looks and it rides beautifully just like my R5 did while also being a bit lighter.
I did my first ever 200k ride a few weeks ago on the new bike and it was really comfortable.

Down to 6265g with the XX SL T-Type MTB chain. SRAM are claiming it's not compatible with road AXS but the dimensions look identical to me and my digital caliper tells the same story.

The bulid cost for this bike is almost equal to what the Tarmac SL8 Pro complete bike costs which leaves me with over $5k in savings compared to the S-Works complete build.

whats your saddle height? i think i would also ride a 52, but i like a lot of saddle to bar drop, so just getting ideas.

My saddle is set 66cm from the BB. I'm 5' 7" or 170cm and I'm on 170mm cranks.

New Gelu E3 saddle arrived today.
It is 61g instead of the quoted 55g.
I will be testing it to potentially replace my 80g Berk Lupina that I've ridden for the last few years.

I have the E3 saddle on two bikes. I've also had, and broken, quite a lot of Berk Lupinas. Comfort is personal of course, but there is no comparison between the two in terms of quality IMO. The Gelu is streets ahead of the Berk. I find the Gelu very comfortable, but it has noticeably less flex than the Lupina.

I had one Gelu crack on me. I was offered a crash replacement with a reinforced section where the previous one crack. Anghel is great to deal with and replies fairly quick.
