Trying to find info on the Omni Racer Ti Cassettes is pretty hard. I decided to take a gamble on one since the XG cassettes tend to make noise in either the lower or upper cogs when used with 9150. Initial ride today was that it shifted very well. Tried shifting at various loads up to 500w and it did it all with aplomb.
I intend to start using it as my daily so I'll report back if I run into any issues with it.
Current weight is now 6,274g, not bad for a titanium disc brake bike.

I too have a Omni Racer cassette on my Califonia bike. Works well and I expect it to last a while. Haven't ridden it in a while since I have not been to California since March. I was going next month and then life got in the way so I suspect I won't get there until November.
Any experience with the alloy bdop cassette? A touch lighter than the Omni racer, also significantly cheaper.RyanH wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2024 10:37 pmTrying to find info on the Omni Racer Ti Cassettes is pretty hard. I've been running 32mm Veloflex for about a year. on good pavement they are final but they pull funny anytime you ride over cracks, tar or paint. Not sure what causes it, maybe something with the tread texture?RyanH wrote: ↑Sun Jul 28, 2024 8:08 pmHas anyone had stability issues going up tire sizes? I have a pair of Veloflex 32mm that I went to try out and descending in a straight line feels sketchy above 30 mph. Mid ride I lowered the pressure out of curiosity and I think it felt sketchier at lower speed. Running 28mm tires at 45 psi, I have never had an issue, the bike has always been rock solid. Running the 32s at 40 psi and the bike feels super twitchy/darty. I remounted them to see if I messed up but the feeling is still there. Spinning the wheel, it seems perfectly true and no wobbles or such.
When I ran 32mm and 35mm on the Crux (in addition to 28mm), I didn't experience this or at least not to a degree that was worth remembering. They were also less supple tires and I probably ran them at higher pressure than I am trying now.

Same here: 35 mm Panaracer slicks (tubeless) on my commuter gravel bike at 3 bar. Great on even surface but pulling to the side when riding over cracks. Very strange sensation.
I had very good experience with BDOP 11-32 alloy cassette on 9100 (mechanical) drivetrain.nickf wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 6:32 pmAny experience with the alloy bdop cassette? The mistake I made was to use it with a worn out chain. When, a further ~ 1500 km ahead, I swapped a new chain, the cassette wouldn't work well. The cogs couldn't hold the chain under load.
I have been riding the Vittoria Next 32mm tires. I don't think they're quite as supple as the Veloflex but they don't have the handling incompatibility with my wheels.
28mm
32mm
Actual width is a smidge under 32mm on 21 internal
I haven't had any weird pulling issues mentioned above. They are really light for their size so it was only a 2g per tire increase over Veloflex 28mm.
In other news, my HyperSmart hubs were creaking so I went to replace the bearings with NTN. Found out the hard way that the NDS rear bearing is sleeved in plastic rather than running a 6903...to save what, 3g?
Upgrade to 6903
But also broke the delrin axle end in the process 🫠
