Nothing wrong with it at all! It's bloody brilliant.
Just decided I wanted a little bit more comfort and better rolling resistance . I want wide rims, wide tyres and to give discs a try. I want to run 30c, possibly even 32c. Just not possible on this bike.
The seat, cranks, and bottle cages will be transferred over to the new bike.
SL8 s-works frame is being picked up in the next week or so. Dura ace, and some other special bits.
The canyon is ace, and the way it climbs is fantastic. The wheels are super fast, and stiff, but I just want and need some fatter tyres and rims.

You gotta do what you gotta do! Skip the 30's, go straight for the 32's (thank me later!).

Interesting, and unexpected! Just out of interest, what ist the limiting factor for the use of 30mm or 32mm tyres ?mmaslen wrote: ↑Sun Oct 06, 2024 7:07 pmNothing wrong with it at all! It's bloody brilliant.

I ask, because i although own a rim brake-bike, which i run with a 28mm-wide wheelset (21mm inner width). I currently use 28mm Contis, but there is quite a lot of space for wider tyres left (easily 30mm, pretty shure 32mm).
It is a pity, that you are going to sell the Canyon, amazing bike!
So the bike is fully stripped down and being sold off in parts.
The wheels have gone to a new home, and a fellow weight weenie Jahknob. I hope you enjoy them.
Frame, full groupset, and stem are still available. If your interesterd, please Drop me a message and we can chat, and I can point you to my listings on eBay.
New frame purchased for the next project...awaiting further parts....

Exciting times I've never minded dropping some on parts that can be moved from bike to bike like your cranks for instance, bottles cages saddles etc
