Here's my little project off my cannondale 2015 caad 10. I have had a 10 and a 12 in the past. 12 was my good bike but skint at the time needed money so I Sold them both and I instantly regretted the caad 10. Knew I needed to get another one before it was too late. A few months looking sand Here's the bike in the for sale advert. Day I opened the Bike weighed 8.4kg with 105 on it. Fsa chainring ,Garmin mounts cadence sensors etc etc.

Ripped off all the old 105 stuff stuff. The old shimano rs-81 wheels. And gave the frame and fork a good clean. Which is the only reason I bought the bike for 😂. To be very fair the bike is in excellent condition considering the age. No dents or dings on it.

Threw on a old pair off mavic wheels just now to build it up with.
Plans are a 9100 group set. Already have cassette, front mech and front brake, got sent wrong rear one.

Will be goin with 9100 shifters and rear mech and going to pair a spider ring with the si crankset. A black inc bar stem combo. When I can find one. And the most important thing my 12 was 7.6kg with a heavy seat and post so my my long term goal this time is sub 7kg.

A few pics. Weight just now 6.71kg.

I had the Caad 10 and 12. The Caad 10 was the one for me. I had three different ones, the Racing Red was m favourite.
Looking forward to seeing your bike progress.

Both 9100 mechanical shifters and 52/36 8 arm spidering came this month. Still waiting on cables and end caps.

Weights now 7.067kg, Just need rear mech, rear brake and chain can be built up in the next month or so, Projected first build weigh in will be around 7.5-7.6kg That’s with standard mavic wheels and a 303g saddle
Image

Still have bar stem combo. Saddle. And wheels would get me closer to 7. And then dura ace 9100 are about 100g lighter than the 105 spd. Image.

Also a sisl2 and a 10 arm spidering in the long term goal.

First stage all built up just ready to ride.
Think it looks awesome with the spidering on.. a bit heavier than I was expecting but still comes in at 17.6lbs 7.98kg.

Wheels are obviously heavy 1840g so a easy save there.. saddle. Bars and pedals the next big wins. Won’t be too long I can get lighter than my 12 at 7.71kg.

Bit disappointed but still long way to go till I get it we’re I want Image

Such a nice ride, I always wanted the black frame, much nicer than my white/black. What makes you like the 10 better than the 12?

Cheers, have you any pics of yours? I just like the feel from it, it gives me everything I put into it. The fact it's external cables I can do myself easily. I felt the 12 was a tad softer and dulled down a little. The 12 I had was immaculate but it was the 10 I instantly regretted selling. And it did take me a good two/three months looking to find a good one. 👍 for me it's defo a keeper and a long term build/project. My 12 was 7.7ish and I wanted sub 7.5kg. But this time I know I want 7kg. With 9100 mechanical. No silly exapensive parts and a build that looks good also.

Yeah will need to be in the lookout for black railed saddle... cheers tarmackev....! I havnt used the bike much... maybe 1 trip to work 3 miles away...😳

Been thinking about it more and more and have a bit spare money working loads in winter so looking to get the project back on roll... deciding on a set off wheels or black inc bars...

Hunt carbon 36 wheels on eBay? Thoughts?
Or any thoughts on wheels choice? I really like the look off beamcounters black caad 11 build he called it...

Cheers
