Awesome bike!
Good thing you didn't get the Princeton. Those 5-spokes suit such a special bike much better in my opinion.

Heard good things about the wheels, and it makes any bike looks like a toy immediately (meant it in a good way cos I love toys )

Thanks yah I like them a lot as well and glad I went this way. Seems like Princeton has pivoted from being a customer focused brand trying to grow their business to being too popular too quickly and have switched to acting like a big bike manufacturer without the personel to support it. I guess it's just the cycle of businesses. I guess we will see how they fair when the next big wheel startup starts nipping at their heels.

Argonaut has actually just announced their own custom wheels which I briefly considered and, if they market them well enough, could take away market share from Princeton I think.

Awesome thanks! Love to hear it. Can't wait for my shoulder to heal up properly so I can ride this toy!

Since they haven't done their full press release yet I am going to hold off on posting the full writeup I read about it but I did ask them if I could post about it and wasn't explicitly told no so I think I can share some basic info with you.

Argonaut 43 is a 43mm rim designed laced to DT 180 hubs. They're 1260 grams, and super stiff and durable, and stable! A great all-around, super light wheel with an internal width of 23mm and external width of 30mm so perfect for wider tires. These were specifically designed around some of the shortcomings they have seen from ENVE, Zipp, and PCW.

Very understated minimalist design. I'll post one pic below but I am sure if you reached out to Argonaut they'd happily give you some more detail and more pics. They are selling them already now, just haven't done the full press blitz yet.

They look good! Would be lighter still on tactic. Shame they don't have a deeper option but I guess it matches the ethos of their frame

Ha. I may end up getting some to have two sets of wheels after the settlement money from the accident comes in but that will be a while. I do agree they look nice. In fact, I think they look nicer than the Wake 6560s when I look at for example this recent bike Argonaut posted: https://www.instagram.com/p/CplecnUrwb8/

The wavy pattern looks a little too flowery when on the bike to me.

Those are also too deep for that bike. It's a classic frame design, so simple lines are bound to be a good fit.

One thing to add about the Argonaut wheels is that they have internal nipples and hookless rims. We helped one of our customers at the shop order an RM3 recently, and he decided against these wheels for those reasons and went with the new Dura Ace C36s instead (hooked, external nipples, 1350g).

Sweet bike, by the way! Not a huge fan of the wheels but that is personal preference.
