Nice build! I recently built up a green Stigmata as a road build with Rival AXS and Farsports Feder with Panaracer GK 32s. Came in at 8.3kg.

Which thru-axles did you use in the end? I see I can save 100g by replacing my stock ones with J&Ls.
I'm thinking of a Santa Cruz Stigmata as a second "road"bike and to explore if graveling is something for me.
What's your experience with the stigmata as a roadbike?

Thanks!

Nice bike!

Is this a medium? And what is the saddle height? I'm looking how a 54cm will look for me ;-)
Thanks! It's a 54cm. My saddle height is 72cm. I am 176cm tall. Fit is good for off-road. If I was using it as a road bike with thin tires, then I might consider downsizing to 52.

Thanks for your reply ;-) Changing to a 52cm size to get a more nimble ride?

Enjoying it so far. Felt a bit slow to turn at first but got used to it and now it feels good. Done a few club rides on it and held up well against the others on road bikes. Got PDW fenders on it for winter at the moment.

Exactly. And to lower the front a bit. Stack is pretty high for a road bike. Don't get me wrong it's still respectably fast on the road - even with the gravel tires on. Also descends *really* well on road. I already have a roadbike so I am optimizing for off-road with this build. If you want a do-it-all bike it might also be worth checking out the Crux thread (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=161754&start=870). Lots of folks building these out in "road mode".

The Crux was indeed on my shortlist, but there doesn't seem to be any stock here in Europe.

Just got mine down to 7,98 kg when I changed to road pedals (Keo Blade CroMo). Nothing special parts wise:

- Ultegra R8000 / Ultegra RX groupset
- FarSports 30/30 hooked, Bitex hubs, CX-Ray, XT rotors
- GK 38mm with Orange Seal
- Superzero stem and post, Giant XR D-fuse alloy bars
- Selle San Marco Regale FX wide
