How do you like the Maxxis tires?

You can also probably save a few more grams with one of these: http://www.sigeyi.cn/en/col.jsp?id=127

Would love to see full scale shot of this.

My math brings in out around 6,250g if a 52cm frame.

(Happy to eat my words!).

And I'd love to see your maths. I'd be a bit of a twat to fake it.

Yours 5910
Mine 6590

You save:
70 frame
290 wheels
70 seatpost
10 stem
50 bars
40 saddle
30 CS OSPW
120 PM
15 AirTag
50 tyres
20 rotors
765 total

I save (areas you can save):
100 pedals
10 cage
50 rings+ bolts
40 expander
10 hanger
210 total

555 less when corrected

6590 - 555 = 6,035

Missing 125g (hence my request for a full shot)

Without seeing your build or weights its pretty much impossible to compare, and I don't understand some of your numbers. The relevant items from my build, as far as I can see from your list above are:

Wheelset : 1080
Tires : 340 (are your tires 390g?)
Tubes : 48
Crankset with power meter : 325 (are your cranks and power meter 445g?)
Rings : 130 (are your rings 80g?)
Bolts : 8
Pedals : 236 (are your pedals 136g?)
Saddle : 55
Cage : 14 (is your cage 4g?)

Maybe my scales are off, but the bike shop put it on their scales and it matched, so I don't think so.

Having found a picture of your bike, I think you're underestimating / over-estimating a number of areas.

Wheels : my Roval Rapides are 1420, so weight saving is 340, not 290
Tires : your turbo cottons are at least 240 a tire. The Maxxis are 170, so min 140, not 50
Crankset : your d-zero is circa 540 as far as I can tell from looking online, so 200, not 120
Rings : the carbon ti (I have a set) are around 107 in a 50/34, so your saving is 23, not 50
Tubes : unless you also have Revoloop, I suspect there's a further saving there
Frame and Fork : given the colour of your frame and the size, I suspect the saving is more than 70
Rotors : the hope rotors are 69 and 75, so I suspect more than 20 saving

I think that more than accounts for your 'missing' 125g

Not being funny, but I think you should try checking your facts before effectively accusing me of faking a photograph for the sake of gaining recognition from a cycling forum. A quick check of my previous posts and builds would have sufficed.

To be fair to Ryan he has probably built more top end SL7s and weighed them than anyone else so he is coming from a position of experience. I can understand why he would question things as a sub 6 SL7 is an amazing achievement so well done

Very nice build!)

Sram cassette, Xpedo Thrust SL pedals, lighter brake pads, Trickstuff UL rotors, Carbonworks cages can shave some grams without compromising quality and durability i think )
