I always see loads of S works SL7's so have decided to make a log of all the bits on my normal SL7 as I swap and change parts over. Whilst its not exactly a weight weenie build, as its set up as more of an Aero bike, hopefully I can shed some weight as she is sitting pretty heavy as is. After My third crash this season my SL7 went off to the insurance company for a replacement frame and couple other bits were added on, including the hefty new compression plug. While I have no set weight saving plans at the moment Ive already ordered some parts as replacement and will being weighing parts as I take them off or switch them over (ive included some that Ive already done at the bottom.
Some non standard parts so far are :
Sigeyi Direct mount hanger
Cbear OCM jockeys
Enve SES Ar 40 bars
YBN SLA with Speedwax coating
Rotor Power2Max chainset 53/39
Dash Cycles Strike stock
Currently weighing in at a 7.8kg

The seatpost isnt usually this high I quickly built it up once I recieved it back.

Dash Saddle

YBN SLA chain with Molten Speedwax
The first change at the moment a local mechanic has the bike switching the current Enve Ar bars (40-45cm) to a set of Lambda X-wing bars (33-40cm), I also have on order some XTR rotors and MT zoom bottle cages to replace the current cracked and broken JRC cages.

So the bikes back from the mechanic and wearing the new set of bars, alot narrower and more comfortable for myself moving from 40 cm base of hoods down to 33cm. Also a small saving of 22g from the bar swap.

XTR rotors now on, all looking alot better. Weighs in at 7.6kg as it is now. I have a set of lightbicyle AR35 sitting around and a set of Enve 5.6 so going to set them up and see the differences between them.

Nice bike, crazy aggressive setup. That Dash saddle really puts you up there - so odd looking with the gap between the rails and saddle top. BUT three crashes??? This year? Racing crashes I assume? If not, that is some serious bad luck.

Yeah I know what you mean, the rails are unnecessarily tall, not too sure why they make them like that but the saddle is more of a TT saddle, suits my riding and I may even get a slightly longer stem then what's already on it.
All crashes have been in races this year, its been pretty wild here in the UK with alot of new riders and people who haven't raced alot. One crash was even featured on GCN+ documentary which was fun to see my self sat around concussed. Only broke my arm and lost alot of skin as a full result so one of the luckier people.

Wheel update:
I've had a set of LB wheels with carbon Ti hubs sitting around in my garage for a while so decided to build them up as a lighter set of wheels then the rapides I've got on at the moment.
Swapped the original rim tape out for Veloplugs (6g for 48); A set of Galfer wave discs (79g & 98g) where I used the original shimano lock rings which were a few g lighter on each over the inclded Galfer ones; Changed the vittoria latex tubes for Revloop Ultra race (25g each) and fitted a set of 25c pirelli TT tyres that I had around (365g for both).
The wheels weigh in at 555g front and 660g Rear.
Overall this saved around 500g Over the my current race wheels that I will use for normal racing and riding during the season bringing the Total weight down to 7.1kg making me really want to try and get just under 7kg now.

Some further Update for the thread:
After my Ultegra front Caliper decided to fully pack in I decided to replace them with the Hope RX4+ as finding a shimano caliper in stock was a nightmare. Im no mechanic but I like to give it a go and it went suprisingly well with both calipers working perfectly fine with no rub. I weighed them both stripped with no pads or reatining bolts with the weights as follows
Ultegra caliper with adaptor - 124g / Hope RX4+ +20 Caliper - 99g
Ultegra caliper - 108g / Hope RX4+ std Caliper - 80g
Hope Fitted F.jpg

Overall I really like the the look of the calipers and I guess some more braking power at a lower weight cant harm anyone.

Are you sure it was 80g? Any chance you have scale shots?

This was the std caliper on the scale (without pads). Cant vouch for the accuracy of my scales but they have been consistent.

Awesome, thanks a lot for the shot. I've been torn between more expensive C21 and RX4+, now there's no reason not to go with later.
