I'm new user here from Indonesia. Just started cycling since last year and want to share my budget bike. Bought this bike for just around $750 (around IDR 11mio). I always wondering why old Supersix Evo and CAAD12 (also previous CAAD model) so light even have similar looks. Comparing my bike, CAAD Optimo 2019 105, with almost the same spec as entry level CAAD12, the differences is about 1-1.5 kg
first time I got my bike, i believe it was around 9.4 kg with pedal.
Naked Frame I'll start with everything not changed
Frame :
Cannondale Optimo 2019 Grey 51 - 1685 grams (with RD hanger) Aluminium tube is much thicker than what CAAD12 has. I feel more weight on the rear triangle than on the front. This weight almost same as high end steel frame
Fork :
Cannondale Stock, cut - 360 grams After weighing the fork, i thought it'll be okay if cut 2cm more. Minus around 5 grams. Carbon fork at this weight i guess it's normal.
Seatclamp :
Cannondale Stock, alloy - 25 grams
Headset and Cup :
Tange Seiki - 95 grams Bearings weight are normal. I can't find any 15mm or 5mm cup while rebuilding it. Just stick with 25mm cup.
Bottom Bracket :
FSA Megaexo - 90 grams This frame is come with BSA instead of BB30/PF30, this system adds more weight i guess
