Nice bike. I have a Team Lampre too. I also have an HP B-stay in immaculate condition that still has the original chain mounted.
Thank you!michael432000 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 11, 2021 2:31 pmNice bike. I have a Team Lampre too. I also have an HP B-stay in immaculate condition that still has the original chain mounted.
That bike brings back memories for me of my first Colnago, a C40 like that with 8 speed Chorus, back in 1995. I'd owned a couple of carbon bikes before that and hadn't been impressed with durability. I saw a picture of Ballerini winning Roubaix on a C40 like that and figured if it lasted through Roubaix it would probably last me a couple of seasons. I sold that bike in 2005 because I was tired of the paint job. It later made it up Haleakala and I've thought of trying to but it back. It also started a long line of Colnagos that I've owned although I'm down to my last two C40s and an Extreme Power now. I still love the ride quality and handling although I'm going to install a mid cage derailleur on the C40s because at 70 I'd like a 32 low cog on my cassette so I can make it up a few local hills a bit more easily.
