Factor LS 2021 AXS

There is no eagle RD on this bike. I have Force AXS with Garbaruk cage + XPLR cassette.
I don't see why XX1 Eagle AXS shouldn't work on this bike.

Have you tried this setup with a 10-33 or 10-36 cassette? I just ordered my Garbaruk cage and want to have two sets of wheels. Trying to figure out my second cassette.

10-36 works fine with Force short cage+garbaruk cage. Had 10-44 on one set of wheels and 10-36 on the other before

Always flattop as the cassette and chainring is made for it. And they last really long

I have rebuilt the factor LS from scratch.

The Force AXS gruppo will go to gravel bike of my GF which i am going to build.

I sold my Supersix and moved Red AXS 2x12 to this factor.

Now considering best tire options. I will go for some slick 35-38 tires, so i can ride some soft gravel but fast enough on tarmac.

- challenge strada
- panaracer gravel king slick

Or something else.

Main motivation to do this switch is

1) price of supersix frameset dropped below factor LS frameset
2) the geometry of factor LS, even being marked as gravel, is more road than supersix
3) i believe the stiffness of factor LS is the same as supersix
4) similar for aero
5) i am living in area which i can consider as "best for gravel"
6) drivers >>> everytime i ride a road bike, i usually get angry because of some car passing me too close. now we have a new law, when drivers must pass you at least from 1.5m... but some drivers does not respect that.
7) i needed gruppo for gravel bike of my GF which i am going to build.

Now considering

1) switch zipp 303s to zipp 303 FC
2) switch 2x12 (48/35 10/33) to 1x12 (44T 10-44)

Beautiful looking bike req110. How does she ride compared to the Supersix? Full report please........, I have the current Supersix (sadly a warranty replacement for my SS evo2) and it just doesn't inspire me. I am curious to hear your thoughts on how the factor rides; as a road and, as a gravel steed?

Regardless of the 3 feet rule, cars buzz me all the time on purpose. Happened to me this morning as I was riding. Plenty of room for car even if they were close to double yellow so no excuse there. Seems as though it has gotten worse during pandemic as drivers are taking out their pent up anger on the road.

Supersix 54cm vs factor 54cm

- factor is around 300g heavier (i can probably live with that)
- aero of frameset i think similar
- i am using same cockpit, farsports f1
- riding 40% nice tarmac, 30% crap tarmac, 30% unpaved

- design factor looks better in my opinion since

- i can only have this bigger headset cap with handlebars on top of them, while on supersix i've had to have spacers).
- supersix head tube angle was 2 deg more slack, making my -10deg cockpit looking like -7deg very upright
- stifness of frameset, i can't test now because i have 40c tires, but factor claims that LS is similarly stiff as O2 climbing machine.

- i just have to figure out some ideal tires. these tufo gravel thundero are not fast at all. i will probably order terra speed 40c once again, they were really fast! other option is challenge strada bianca htlr, but those are very expensive, and also slick with risk of challenging installation.

factor has stack 565

Given the fact that slick headset cap is around 2cm, i have the saddle>handlebar drop around 6.5cm, which is supercomfortable and respecting bik fitter suggestion, compared to supersix, where i had around 8.5-9cm...

But i purchased supersix first and went for bike fit later, where we realized that stack of the supersix needs me to run couple spacers, which made the bike totally ugly.

I'm guessing most of the 300g would be in the bigger tyres (?); or are you saying that it is 300g for the frame system? Frame, fork and the hangers etc?
I am a little worried about the stack - as you point out - it is 10mm taller and I have my current Supersix almost slammed with a -17 degree 110 stem. I worry that it will be too tall.
I could size down, but then there have been comments about toe overlap and sizing down will only make this worse.
How do you find the turn in an front end of the LS? My fear in getting another gravel bike is that it turns in like a boat and just wants to sail to the other side in under steer

If I consider bigger tires and wheels, It would be 1kg difference.

I have slight toe overlap here as well.

I have taller spacer under handlebars. You can use the short one to reduce stack by 1.5cm.

Turning I think fine.
