Thanks Caballero. The Protos has a special place in my heart. I used to walk by the bike shop and drool at the original Protos module in the window. I had to wait a long time to be able to finally get a Protos and spoke to Cristiano himself to make it happen.

They just posted a short video on Youtube showing some of the labor that went into the paint. Ignore the incorrect model number Click here

Awesome video, thanks for sharing. Gorgeous paint work and I dread to think how many hours was spent on your frame.

Oh man .. that is beautiful .. and those tires really looks good on the frame. I may have to copy you and try pirelli's, are they tubeless ?

Beautiful.

It is testament to the Mapei Colnagos that even now they are still one of the nicest deisngs out there, and almost unblelievable that people pay good money to have a floor tile and grout brand on their bike!

If I was being picky, if I was having a bike sprayed from scratch, I would have gone for the classic era-correct Colnago logos, but that's just me.

Enjoy the ride.

@nismosr Thanks for the kind words. I give you a lot of credit for convincing me to take the leap. Your build is stunning.

The pirellis are plain clinchers. The gumwalls are not available in their tubeless ready offering.

enjoy the new paint scheme specially when you ride around the city and cross the bridge to 9w .. they are rare color !

I haven't seen one by me central NJ.

btw Maris just inform me Pirelli are coming out with TLR in gumwall color !
