Cinelli King Zydeco

After a nine month wait for the frameset, my Cinelli King Zydeco gravelbike is finally finished. I plan to use it for longer gravel rides, bike packing, and maybe some gravel racing.

Frame/Fork/Headset/Throughaxles: Cinelli King Zydeco
Wheels: Lightbicycle rims, Novatec hubs, Vittoria Terreno Dry tires
Finishing kit: FSA SL-K
Groupset: Shimano GRX Di2 with FSA SL-K crankset, Absolute Black chainrings, and ZTTO cassette
Saddle: Selle Italia SLR Boost with carbon rails
Small parts: JRC Components, Tune, PRO, Blackburn
Pedals: Time Xpresso 7 or Shimano XTR (depending on the shoes I want to wear)







I build the bike myself, using the workshop of the store for whom I do social media. It was the first time I did really everything myself, previously I had normally gotten a mechanic installing the headset and bottom bracket for me.







The complete bike with pedals, bottle cages, and Garmin mount comes in at 8.34kg

I have only ridden about ~450km with the Cinelli so far. The ride is very stable, which is definitely a plus for me as I am not the most confident rider (only started road cycling in 2019 and never did MTB). Some really steep downhills ~25% have shown me why some people put a dropper post on their Gravel ^^

Great photos. And very good looking bike.
I am also using ZTTO cassette (11/34) on one of the gravels, and quite pleased how it's working out.

I like the JRC Garmin Mount - I ll have a peak into that one.

700x38C Vittoria Terreno Dry on Lightbicycle WR50 rims. Measures at ~43mm. Cinelli says that 650B wheels would fit, but I have none to try.

Nice build. Glory cycles keeps posting them on Instagram and I always like them as the paint is much nicer than the usual one colour of other brands. How does it compare to bikes like Cervelo Aspero?

I haven't ridden the Aspero, the only gravel comparisons I can make are to the Scott Addict Gravel and a 2019 Bombtrack. The Scott is essentially their cyclocross frame rebranded, so it rides more like a roadbike in comparison, and the tire clearance is very limited. I prefer the Cinelli to the other two as it is more stable (and as written above, my handling skills especially off-road are limited). Also the frameset is competitively priced.

Konsi - I pretty much have all my parts in now so am ready to start my build - curious what, if anything you did with the black plastic tubing that runs out of the bottom bracket area behind the seat post - looks like it was designed for cable routing for a cable front derailluer. I plan to run 1x so don't need it and with your di2 set up it looks like you didn't need it either. I was considering cutting it flush with the frame - or maybe just leave it though it doesn't look great. Interesting design for sure -

That is really a nice build! Anyone know how a rear fender could be mounted?
