Oh interesting. So similar construction to LW but with Dyneema spokes and with internal nipples to adjust spoke tension ?

Are these new wheels (new production) or some older vintage stuff?

This is vintage, from the 90's iirc. If you search for "Cees Beers ADA" you'll find stuff about them. He made wheels sub 1kg, and more than a few pro's would use these on special occasions and ignore sponsor contracts for them.

Nice! Great find. I still have a set of ADAs with kevlar braking surfaces. Such great wheels. I think I like them better than Lightweights (if only that they are different and there are fewer sets out there).

Hi, yes they are vintage...NOS. In the past i also had Pro version (with kevlar braking sufrace, but i sold the wheelset...regretting the dicision right after selling). I have searched for the (new) set for almost 15 years :)

Indeed a bizarre personnage… I remember him claiming he was behind the Mavic Cosmic Ultimate (they used fake ADA stickers on their prototypes in 2005).
His wheels were quite unequal with some components extremely well build (some axles were very very well manufactured with “unusually” advanced surface treatment and then a low stiffness (sub 40N/mm, that by today’s std… would be quite ok btw for a wheel of 1150g, but lightweight were in the mid50 to 60N/mm), and problems to deliver round wheels.
At a good price I would be happy to add one to my special wheels collection.

Just out of personal curiosity.
sometime you read Ada did something special with their braketracks and you can find pictures in the internet of Ada wheels with a yellowish braketrack.
What was that?

Yes, that is the kevlar braking surface. With cork pads, the braking is really good. It does not get the 'grabbiness' that you get with carbon.
