The Aerothan tubes arrived, a nice saving over stock: 88g to 46g (with valve extenders in), claimed weight is 41g so about right with the extender in.

They went in easily, will report back on performance over latex.

Total saving 84 grams.

Tune Xpanda and Seat clamp arrive pretty soon and should see 50gram saving.

The new fizik stem adds about 40grams so maybe cancel each other out. Much much better position on the bike, I'll chop the steerer ASAP but waiting for the tune xpanda to confirm chop needs!

So, some more tune bits arrived. Seat clamp and Xpanda replace these heavy two.

Xpanda 7g verified
Schraubwurger Seatpost clamp 12g (claimed 11g)

So total saved 38grams.

Was happy last night on this in the local crit, I've been racing CX and doing general races but never focused and I wanted to get my CAT 3 license before another baby comes along and I can't ride. Managed to get two second places in the two crits i've entered so I've now got the points for CAT 3 which im chuffed with as I don't need to risk my life as much again as I did last night, some fit people but Jesus the bike handling was attrocious. I'll be doing a few more races and the kinesis is doing an awesome job!

Apologies for opening up an old thread, I was just wondering what the tire clearance was like on this? The Aithein is on the potential list for a new frame - I've got a set of Stayer wheels with 28c tyres on, that probably inflate up a bit bigger than 28c, which is causing issues on my current build. Ta!

You'll just about have clearance, fine on front - tight on rear..

Where's the giant picture frame in your photo?
Lovely bike, agreed that I always viewed them as winter bikes but this is fantastic! I saw an old guy on one today as well and his was also pretty tricked out and he was shifting.
Racing 4th cat crits on this bike is brave! Bet you're glad that's over

It's at the top of Holme Moss, it was the climb on the Yorkshire stage of TDF. It's in Holmfirth West Yorkshire, I live about 1.5miles from the bottom now so always head straight up the climb with any new bike to shakedown and take some photos. Still love this bike, but the frame sold off to a guy locally. C64 on the way, equally as risky now I'm 3rd cat but I'm insured...

Oh yeh, I knew it must be that way but couldn't think. I did an off road race over Holme Moss recently but didn't see it.
Great bike

For some reason it isn't working Arph, your totally right, length isn't bad for the Geo on Kinesis, it's the headtube height for me, I've got a Fizik 20 degree 120mm stem arriving to drop me some more which should hopefully assist! Do you have something instead you use for racier stuff - or is that the Bianchi?
Better late than never ^^

Pics fixed. I have a Prince FX for racier stuff - though I don't race :D
