First post here despite being inspired by many years reading this forum and looking at all your lovely builds. It was reading threads around 2010 to 2013 here that first got me interested in Ghisallo's (at that point I was riding a Siena and at the start of my road bike hobby).

I've finally got my bike into the spec i've wanted for years so i thought i'd share it.

It's a 2009 Litespeed Ghisallo, bought secondhand from Ebay. The components have been upgraded piece by piece after scouring ebay and other secondhand sites for ages. As i've got better at cycling, my bike has got better too, inch by inch, mile by mile. It was in very nice shape a fortnight ago with its Dura Ace 9100 group set and full Ritchey WCS finishing kit. (The group set was the only bits i'd bought new). The Ghisallo at that point weighed 6.6kg. Then i saw an advert on facebook for the THM components i never thought i'd be able to afford. It just so happened that they were less than a year old and had only seen very light use. I was also, thankfully, at a point financially where i could just about afford to push the button. A message was sent and a deal was struck. That led me to a fortuitous meeting with the man who was selling the components for one of his customers. It just so happened he lived within a few miles of me and runs a bespoke business building and tuning competitive road bikes. His name is Brad Wright and he runs Airgo Tuning. After a long chat with him about the THM parts, his love of titanium, and my passion for Ghisallo's we agreed he should fit the THM components and also supply and fit some other very trick bits that he recommended including the C-Bear ceramic bottom bracket. I picked up the bike this evening and on Brad's scales it is weighing 6.08kg. To say i am stoked is an understatement.

I hope you enjoy my post. The bike isn't a showpiece. It is out doing long climbing rides every weekend in the Surrey and Kent hills.

Nice bike! Although our approach has been quite different in some ways (such as Ti-frame vs Carbon, Carbon-wheels vs Aluminum), but also similar in other ways (many pre-used parts), we ended up around the same bike weight of 6 kg. Enjoy riding this beautiful bike!

Looking very tasty. What's your saddle height and frame size is it?

Thanks mate. It is an M/L which means a 56cm in Litespeed terms. I am 176cm tall. I am not sure how high the saddle
is, all i know is that it is the correct height for my leg length.

Hello Carlson,

The Bike Looks Great, in the last specs, congrats, Great Weight to.

A 3K seatpost is all it needs :-)

What THM Scapula fork is that one.?

The dropouts don't look by THM, let us know.

Regards

Hi Elfuinha,

Thank you. The fork is a one off, custom made by THM for a rich guy. I bought them secondhand from his bike builder along with the cranks and stem. They were built with titanium drop outs. He is a very big guy. The forks are slightly heavier than the usual Scapula's but these are strong and stiff AF.
